The W Salon Hyde Park opened in Hyde Park with one belief: that the best work happens when the people doing it feel genuinely supported — not just employed.

Twice a month, our in-house educator works with the team. Real training, paid, built into your schedule — not an afterthought. We also send stylists off-site for advanced education: Kevin Murphy, color masterclasses, extension techniques. All of it covered.

Our manager Brandi runs the floor. She knows every stylist’s goals, their hard days, and what they’re building toward. When something isn’t working, she’s the first to help solve it. The team doesn’t just coexist here — they actually show up for each other.

Paid Time Off (PTO)

How it works
You earn paid time off gradually as you work — about 0.02 hours of PTO for every hour worked — instead of getting it all at once. Accrued PTO can be used for sick days or personal days.

How vacation pay is calculated

Hourly employees: one week of pay at your regular hourly rate
Commission employees: based on the average of your last three months of service sales (tips and retail not included)

Vacation by year

After the 120-day probationary period: 10 unpaid days
After 1 year: 1 week paid + 1 week unpaid
After 3 years: 2 weeks paid + 1 week unpaid
After 5 years: 3 weeks paid + 1 week unpaid
After 10 years: 4 weeks paid + 1 week unpaid

Hi, I'm Elizabeth! I've spent 28+ years in this industry, and these days my favorite title is Chief Encouragement Officer. There's nothing I love more than watching our team grow — building real confidence, taking their time off, and doing their best work together through collaboration. My purpose is to create an awesome space for people to grow in an industry I truly love, and to make the kind of positive impact on our guests that reminds you what an amazing career choice this is. We take real pride in how our team exemplifies the values we believe in, and we hope to keep growing our team with like-minded individuals who feel the same.

Hi, I'm Brandi! With roots in emergency services and a degree in Human Resources focused on management and leadership, I've spent years learning how to truly take care of people. That foundation, combined with my extensive experience across the beauty industry, drives everything I do as Salon Manager at The W Salon, Hyde Park. My biggest priority is you — every member of our team. I'm here on the good days and the hard ones. My door is always open, whether you want to celebrate a big booking week, brainstorm ways to grow your clientele, talk through a challenging service/client, you simply need support or someone to just listen. You should never have to wonder if you're truly appreciated or taken care of — your success, well-being, and professional development are my highest priorities. Because without a thriving, supported team, there is no business. I support real growth and a positive culture where stylists truly own their success. We have growing demand for extension services and are open to the right stylist — whether you’re already certified or eager to get there. This is a secondary focus, not a requirement. If extensions are part of your toolkit or something you’ve been wanting to develop, we’d love to talk.
